Rooibos tea or Red tea not, not to be confused with Chinese red tea which is black tea. Rooibos tea is made from special tea plants indigenous to south Africa. Among the reasons for Rooibos is its lack of caffeine and tannins which is said to cause the bitter tase in green and black teas.
